A product of RCD Espanyol's youth system, Coro made his first team debuts on 2 November 2003, in a 2–0 home loss against Real Zaragoza, but spent his first professional seasons with the reserve side, in Segunda División B.
In the 2005–06 season, on 13 May 2006 (the last matchday), he scored a last-minute goal against Real Sociedad, with that 1–0 win saving Espanyol's La Liga status, as Deportivo Alavés was relegated instead. In the season's the season's Copa del Rey final he added another, in a 4–1 routing of Zaragoza.
Coro finished 2006–07 with four league goals in 30 contests, adding five in 11 in the Catalans' UEFA Cup runner-up run, including one apiece in both legs of the semifinal clash against SV Werder Bremen.[1][2] In the following three years combined, he amassed 75 league appearances with six goals, alternating the substitutes bench with the starting XI.
In mid-January 2011, completely ostracized by manager - and former teammate at Espanyol - Mauricio Pochettino, Coro signed with fellow first-divisioner CA Osasuna, on loan until the end of the season.[3]
